Bible Stories Songs Giveaway!!

Our kids have a love for music and have learned Scripture that has been set to music, geography, phonics, and much more. When a tune is started they quickly recall the words, and if the truth be told, music has helped me learn a lot of various things: books of the Bible, geography, Scripture, and more.

Bible StorySongs is a music company that strives to help kids learn about the Bible through singing. They set Bible Stories to rhymes and familiar songs, as well as creating some of their own music.

I received a copy of David: Shepherd, Psalmist, Soldier, King! ($9.99) from Bible StorySongs to review as part of the Homeschool Crew team. The cd is an hour long and includes 31 songs telling all about his life as a shepherd, the different songs and psalms he wrote and also his reign as king of Israel.

Usually when I put music in for the kids, it's more along the lines of Hillsongs Kids or something that gets them moving and dancing - unless we're doing "school" learning songs. Initially there were blank looks on the kid's faces because it wasn't what they expected. But the more we've played the CD, they have listened closely and been enjoying it. Zachary quickly realized that all the songs are about David and he's been telling me the things he is learning out of the blue.

Bible StorySongs also has several other CD's: The Bible; Moses, Vol. 1: First 80 Years; Moses, Vol. 2: Last 40 Years; Moses, for Young Singers; Matthew, Vol. 1 (Chap 1-8); Matthew, Vol, 2 (Chap 9-28); and also Matthew, for Young Singers.

There are samples of the songs available on their website and also free lyrics sheets. If you purchase multiple CD's (for church or co-ops) they have discounts available too. Or if you prefer to just put it all on your iPod or MP3 player, Itunes and Walmart also carry digital versions of them.
