Bible in 90 Days- join in July 2010

As of 10:34pm on Sunday night I'm still in 2 Kings, and a little less than 2 days behind. Assuming that I can keep my eyes open for a bit longer, I’m hoping that I can finish it off in just a bit.

The one thing that stuck out to me this week out of everything that I read was something about Elijah. After standing up against all the prophets of Baal, calling down fire from heaven and having rain delivered…he ran from Jezebel because she threatened him.

That just boggles my mind.

Anyway, here’s a little glimpse of what I’m looking at right now. My laminated bookmark that I’m slowly, but surely checking off the days and keeping track of things…

Once I’m caught up, it’s only two more days until we’re 1/3 of the way through the challenge!!  If you are interested in learning more about the Bible reading challenge, you can read more about it at Mom’s Toolbox. You can also download your own printable reading bookmark if you want to join along in the challenge.

  3. I think Elijah was just plain worn out. When fatigue walks in, faith walks out and that boys faith sure hit the bricks! I think we'd be wise to learn from his mistake...a Holy Spirit pit stop to refuel before we find ourselves cowering in a corner over something ridiculous!

It's usually those "little things" that get us all in an uproar, isn't it?!
