Playing Games ~ Little Leaps of Love

Today's assignment is pretty straightforward. Play a game with your kiddos...or your hubby...or someone!!

My kids ask me at least once a day to play a game with them of some sort: Monopoly, Uno, Candyland, hide and seek. They just want to play!!

And how many times a day do you suppose they hear, "Maybe later." "Not now." "We'll see." I love to play games....yet, somehow there always seems to be something more important that I have to do. Rarely do I sit down and take the time. But a simple game of peek-a-boo with my littlest one gets me giggling. Laughs abound when we play Monopoly together and Mommy is sent to the poorhouse.

Why then do I hold back so much and occupy myself elsewhere?

For others (like my husband) games are not so fun. You might not necessarily enjoy them, but perhaps your spouse does. Or your kids.

So - just DO it. Take 15 minutes to sit down, relax, and have fun together. If it means something to them, jump on the opportunity. Don't forget to come back and share what you did together!

Points for this leap of love: 20 points; play more than one game and earn an additional 10 points per game.

Maximum points for today: 50
