Zippy Beef & Ziti Skillet {Recipe}

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy here.

This is a great one-dish meal that goes together quickly and really isn’t all that spicy…unless you’d like to make it that way. I adapted the recipe from one that I found somewhere in a magazine and we’ve used it for years now and love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 ounces tube shaped pasta
  • 2 14 oz. cans of diced tomatoes, undrained {we prefer the petite ones}
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and diced
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 3 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sour cream

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. While pasta is cooking, cook the ground beef, onion and green pepper together in a large skillet until meat is cooked thoroughly. Drain.
  3. Add tomatoes, jalapeños, honey, chili powder, and salt to the skillet. Cover and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. When pasta is cooked, drain and add to the skillet with the beef. Add in sour cream, mix completely and stir while heating, but do not bring it to a boil.
