Intense & Somewhat Overwhelmed

This past month can pretty much be summed up in one word for me.

Intense.

School has started back up and we’re gettin g back into the swing of things. Co-op has kicked back in and I’m busy planning and teaching there. I’ve also taken on a few extra ‘side jobs’ that are wrapping up this month. Kaleb’s sickness is finally coming out of his ‘funk’ and after almost five weeks…and I am ever-so-relieved.

I know that saying I’m ‘busy’ seems so trite {sigh}, but this is the most-overwhelmed I’ve felt in quite some time.

This week we’re heading out of town to spend a few days with friends in Williamsburg and I am so very, very excited. To relax. Slow down. Have fun. At the end of the week, we’ll be going camping again, but this time we’re heading even deeper into the woods.

These four little faces mean the world to me.

I may not be happy to see the mosquitoes, but I will be so happy to just unplug.

And INTENSELY enjoy my family.

  2. You have a beautiful family! I hope you can get revived this weekend, and I really hope the mosquitoes leave you alone! Itching is stressful for me, and I don't want you to have that too.

  6. I understand exactly where you're coming from. I'm so jealous that you're heading out for a camping trip, at what I feel is the most perfect time of year. Almost Fall... maybe the mosquitoes won't be that bad!

  8. Enjoy your time in the 'Burg... one of my favorite places on the planet ;) I am seeing a lot of blog posts about remembering what is important, spending time with family, letting the rest go - I'm thinking maybe the Lord is using the blogs I read to speak to me. This has not been a good month or two here either, and I needed this reminder. Thanks and have a great time!

PS - Don't forget to stop in the Cheese Shop for a sandwich - yummy!

  10. I hope you have so much fun on your trip and it is a time for memories and the relaxation you need too.

I know exactly how you feel. I don't know why, but I feel way more overwhelmed at this point in the game than I did a year ago when I had a newborn. The days have been very long, very trying and I am very overwhelmed. I'm just trying to remember what is most important and to appreciate my blessings, and like you, the four most important reasons for all that I do, well five when you include Jamie:-).
