Brotherly Love

For all you moms out there that attempt valiantly to get a great picture of all of your children together…and then fail miserably because one child is always doing something to throw the entire picture off, I’m here to encourage you. As your children get older, it will get better.

Or not.

Case in point, my brothers and I this past weekend. We were all together this last week and my mom wanted to get a picture of the three of us. Considering my youngest brother is now 33, one would think this would be a piece of cake.

I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

We finally did get one with normal faces from a certain brother…but everytime I look at the picture of myself, all I can think about is “Thing” from the Addams Family. Remember Thing?

See for yourself…

My poor mother just wanted one nice picture. This has me wondering what to expect years from now from my four. :)

  1. Hilarious! I have a couple of brothers like that--and I was kinda hoping they'd grow out of it. Now you tell me that's a false hope?

But it did look like you were having fun! (Either that, or you're a good actress.)

  2. Jolanthe,

Now that's a shame! I sure would love to hear some of the stories of the three of you growing up together; so many laughs I'm sure.

  4. I love these photos! Reminds me so much of my siblings (there are 6 of us) and for the first time in a long time, we were all sitting at the dining room at my mom's house. My mom whipped out her camera and started taking our photos. Family photos are the greatest, aren't they?
