Mini Office Lapbooks

This last week I've been busy getting things ready for the upcoming school year. This weeks goal was to get together some mini office lapbooks for the kids. A mini office is essentially a go-to place for your kids to get information to commonly asked questions related to schoolwork.

If you want a little more information on making mini offices for your kiddos this year, head on over to my other blogsite Our Homeschool Creations for some more pictures and detailed instructions.

Easter Egg Unit

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy here.

Over the last few weeks I've been working on a unit to study with our girls based on the book "The Legend of the Easter Egg" by Lori Walburg. I did a different one with Laurianna and McKenna over Christmas and they loved it, so I wanted to get on the ball before Easter hit to finish it.

Anyway - it's done!! If you are interested in seeing what I put together, you can head over to my homeschooling blogsite Our Homeschool Creations and there are links there to the entire unit and also pictures of what we'll be working on. The girls are so excited - which is a good thing!

Back to Life...

Vacation's over. I suppose that I've pushed off the inevitable starting school up again long enough. :) We had fun working on our candy cane lapbook - check out HERE to see some pictures of it.

The computer - still in the shop and hopefully I'll have it back sometime early this week. I feel so out of the loop of things when I can't "do" some of the stuff that I feel needs to be done.

On a pitiful note - I have been lost in Mitford, North Carolina since Christmas Day. If you are familiar with Jan Karon and her Mitford series, you might understand. A friend had given me the first book in the series when I was on bed rest with Kaleb. And the book has meanwhile been sitting in my nightstand, unread, since sometime last October. I found it while cleaning up and figured I couldn't give it back after having so horribly long without reading it. Bad move. Very bad move. The first one finally hooked me and sucked me into the little village of Mitford. I had to call my friend, confess that I finally read it and beg to borrow as many of the other books as I could. Sadly, there are NINE books in the series. NINE. And as of yesterday, I have finished them all and read the first book in her next series. No small feat I assure you. Ten books are now completed....I am now left hanging in a new series....and searching for what to do now. Hmmm...perhaps resume life? That I suppose was my "Christmas break" - back to school for me!
